16th Annual Day Celebration of Mahashakti

The sustainable development of community requires the convergence effort of the government, private, corporate, financial institutions and other stake holders together.

Sustainable development is possible only if the knowledge, skill, financial support and marketing etc value chain support systems will be provided to the needy when it is required with dignity.

This was stated at the webinar held on the occasion of the 16th Annual Day of Mahashakti Foundation, a leading livelihood development organization of Odisha.

The program was inaugurated by Shri Jagannath Saraka, Honarable Minister for SC & ST Development and Minorities and Backward classes Welfare Department, Government of Odisha, while Shri Santosh Mishra, President of Mahashakti Foundation, delivered the welcome address. Mr. Jugal Kishore Patnaik, Chief Executive Officer, presented the success story of the institution.

Ex CGM of NABARD – Shri K.C. Panigrahi, CSR Head of Vedanta and ACC Shri Niladri Bhushan Parhi and Shri Pratyush Kumar Panda, DDM NABARD Kalahandi – Mr. Malay Kumar Meher, Associate Director Smart Power India Mr. Satya Chaube, COO of Skill Development Institute Mr. Rajesh Tripathi – Director of Mahashakti Group Sri Dibakar Moharana, Co- Founder of FARR and Mahashakti Mrs. Pramila Swain – Micro Planning and Livelihood Expert from Dist Planning and Monitoring Unit – Ms. Kumudini Mishra spoke on the role of the NGO specifically Mahashakti Foundation for sustainable development.

Panelists focused on how to conduct research while identifying the issues of the community and address them in such a way that with time, the beneficiaries will not need the assistance of the organization in future and infact be more successful and stand strong.

Beneficiaries of different projects of Mahashakti from Khurdha , Bargarh, Jagatsinghpur and Kalahandi districts also spoke on how the institution has touched their lives and they have earned a reputation and respect in their societies.

Finally, Mr. Jogananda Behera, Secretary of Mahashakti Foundation gave a Vote of Thanks to the panelists, clients and other participants for joining in the webinar. More than 100 staff members attended the event.
